Day 7...Colmar, France

Today we stayed in Colmar at a Bed and Breakfast. It is placed within perfect walking distance to the old town of Colmar. We spent most of the walking all the streets and visiting little boutiques. We returned home in the late afternoon and sat around in the peaceful backyard.

Many many people around here ride motorcycles or mopeds for easy and quick access to town for things. The lady who runs the Bed & Breakfast recently bought a new motorcycle and offered to take us each for a ride. We each got a 1/2 hr ride with her. She took us through a nearby Alsatian village and then up the hill where we could overlook the villages and then into the mountain and back around home. It was quite a thrill to ride with her! And it was so neat to have such a scenic route!

After we returned we went to dinner. We both tried a unique plat the consisted crab and herring wrapped in raw salmon and topped off with caviar. It sounds a bit strange but really was pretty good.

  2. Thanks for posting pictures of your latest adventures. It all looks very relaxing! P.S.- Are you getting some good ideas for your boutique back home?

P.P.S.- The cathedral in this post- are there any pictures of it inside, or are those the ones in a previous post?

P.P.P.S.- If you do look around inside another cathedral, could you get some close-ups? esp. stained glass, pews, organ, walls, doorways, boy this is exciting... Thanks- April
